The AAM-1818B-GKBD is a complete GPS and BeiDou engine module featuring super sensitivity, ultra-low power consumption, and a compact 18.5×18.5×6.5mm square form factor. The GPS and BeiDou signals are applied to the antenna input of the module, and complete serial data messages with position, velocity, and time information are presented at the serial interface using NMEA protocol or custom protocol. With -165dBm tracking sensitivity, the module extends positioning coverage into challenging environments like urban canyons and dense foliage areas where GPS and BeiDou reception was previously difficult. The compact square architecture and power efficiency make it ideal for portable devices such as PNDs, mobile phones, cameras, and vehicle navigation systems with strict space constraints.
